In the project I studied and designed new creative uses of social media that would develop and enhance leadership and management practices and thinking in public sector.
New leadership – both in theory and practice – is developed together with leaders, managers, co-workers, colleagues and various experts.
Through a synaptic communication network in digital environments and social media the Public Leadership & Management Programme can enable new forms of collaboration and thus support significantly the development of new management and communication practices.
In general, I propose that the program’s proactive presence in social media enables the creation of collectively constructed narrative that describes a new, emergent paradigm of leadership and management in public sector.
I presented a short paper titled “The Future of Personal Digital Information – Scarce Resource, Valuable Commodity or an Efficient Utility?” in OPEN 2009 – Media Lab Doctor of Arts Symposium, (Media Lab, University of Art and Design Helsinki, November 5.–6.).
